1000KVA GENERATOR INAUGURATED IN UUTH

1000KVA2The University of Uyo Teaching Hospital is set for a facelift with the recent inauguration of a 1000KVA Generating Set donated to the Hospital by the Niger Delta Development Commission.

In a remark by the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Professor Etete Peters at the inauguration noted that he was delighted to present the project to the Board and staff for inauguration. According to him, power supply is a serious concern to the management as it is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain power from the 500KVA generator currently in use.

1000KVAHe noted that with the installation of the 1000KVAGenerating Set and the completion of the connection of the hospital to the National grid, electricity supply would be stable in the hospital and services would no longer be hampered because of power supply. Professor Etete Peters thanked the Niger Delta Development Commission for the donation and enjoined others to support the hospital as government alone cannot do all.

The Board Chairman of the hospital, Chief Iretioluwa Onyinide commended the Chief Medical Director for bringing about infrastructural development in the hospital. He said the 1000KVA Generator would go a long way to improving the services of the hospital.
