Novelty3  The University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Uyo on Friday, 20th December, 2013, marked its annual end of year activities with a thanksgiving service at the UUTH Chapel.

The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Etete J. Peters who described the year’s thanksgiving service as a great privilege which God Almighty has granted every staff to be a partaker, he expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life, stressing that if it had not been the Lord, all would have been forgotten and in spite of the financial crisis and challenges the institution had faced since the beginning of the year, God has been faithful.

He further commended the effort of Management and staff of the hospital for their support, patience, understanding and commitment they have shown despite all challenges, charging them to continue in that spirit of oneness as sacrifice towards patients care. In the spirit of the season, Prof. Peters wished all staff a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous 2014.

In a homily tagged “MEANINGFUL PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING”, the officiating minister, Prof. Fidelis Onwoiduokit who drew his text from Ps. 103 vs. 1 described David in the Bible as a man after God’s heart because of his lifestyle of singing praises to God.
