The Akwa Ibom State Pioneer Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) has commended the Chief Medical Director UUTH, Prof. Etete J. Peters for his performance rate and invaluable contributions in improving the infrastructure, man-power and the status of the Institution in general.
The commendation was made during a courtesy visit on him, by the members of the Pioneer Chapel of the NUJ. The team led by the Chapel Chairman, Deacon Emmanuel Ebong, said being aware of the excellent medical services the institution has been rendering to increasing number of patients, gave the urge to meet, interact and congratulate the Chief Medical Director and his management team for performing exceedingly well to the satisfaction of the Presidency which has led to his re-appointment as the Chief Medical Director of UUTH, for a second tenure.
Congratulating management for the quality of staff, Deacon Emmanuel Ebong said he was thrilled with the sanitary condition of the hospital environment as well as prompt attention to patients by medical workers, which has gone a long way to erasing the wrong impression people have towards the Hospital.
According to him, the visit is to further encourage the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Etete J. Peters, his management team and staff to sustain the gesture and as a professional body to explore areas of cooperation that will help strengthen and project the corporate image of the institution positively to the outside world.
Responding, the Chief Medical Director UUTH, Prof. Etete J. Peters thanked members of the chapel for the visit, stressing that the gesture will encourage him and management team to continue in delivering good humanitarian services to people.
He
further appealed to them to be more objective in reports, make thorough investigations when in doubt as well as assist the hospital in whatever measure they could for a good corporate image within and outside the State.
On his part, the Director of Administration, UUTH, Mr. Thompson T. Ikpe thanked the team for the visit stating that the UUTH will sustain it relationship with the media to ensure good service delivery to the people of Akwa Ibom and beyond.
