The free clubfoot treatment for Children, sponsored by Miracle Feet Foundation (USA) and Straight Child Foundation (Umuahia) Nigeria, in partnership with the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Uyo, AkwaIBom State, has entered its ninth month.
According to the Head of Department, Orthopaedics, Dr. Edwin Dim, about 28 patients have received treatment so far.
The Chief Medical Director, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Uyo, Dr. EmemAbasi Bassey who witnessed the exercise, advised parents to seek Medical checkups in the hospitals towards the well-being of their children.
The Clinic runs every Wednesday at the Orthopaedics Department, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Uyo and is on-going.
