Represented by the AKS Health Insurance Agency (AKHIA)at a meeting with the Chief Medical Director UUTH Prof Emem Bassey, the Quality Assurance lead of AKHIA, Dr Edikan Ackley said the service was meant for the enrollees of the programme.Talks are currently ongoing to formalize the agreement which promises a facelift for the people of the state.
Dr Ackley also expressed delight at the mutual benefits the two corporate bodies stand to gain from the project.Present on the occasion were the Agency lawyer, Barr Aver Uwah, UUTH Director of Administration Dr Joseph J Akpan and Chairman Medical Advisory Committee, Dr Clement Udoinyang as well as Prof Eyo Ekpe and Dr Christy Akwaowo both Board members of the Agency.NHIA coordinator of the hospital, Edet Eshiet and Head Information and Public Relations Unit Offong Umoh Offong also witnessed the discussion.
