The hospital-based LOX plant known as a vacuum insulated evaporator (VIE) system, typically comprises a bulk cryogenic liquid storage tank and a vaporizer that passively converts the liquid into gas.
With the inauguration of LOX Plant, UUTH has joined the league of hospitals in Nigeria with functional medical oxygen production facilities.
