The governor of Akwa Ibom state inaugurated the renovated and equipped Accident and Emergency unit. The governor, who was represented by the secretary to the state government Prince Enobong Uwah, expressed happiness and gratitude to the sponsors of the project, Nigeria LNG limited.
Present at the commissioning were the minister of state for petroleum and Gas, Rt. Hon(obongemem) Ekperikpe Ekpo, the hospital management team, ministry of petroleum resources delegate as well as representative of the vice chancellor, university of Uyo and commissioner for health Akwa Ibom state.
High point of the event was the groundbreaking ceremony of an upcoming one-storey building complex to expand the accident and emergency block.
