A leading pharmaceutical company in Nigeria,FIDSON Healthcare PLC has donated ten(10) wheelchairs to the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital,Uyo.
A representative of the company, Mr Chidi Ezeoba said the gesture was to assist some of the patients in the hospital.
Receiving the donation, Chief Medical Director Prof.Emem Bassey commended Fidson PLC for its sustained effort to the hospital as well as show of compassion and empathy to humanity especially the vulnerable. He said the wheel chairs which were already included in the hospital’s budget would ameliorate healthcare delivery to patients.
On her part, Pharmacist Bella Etuk Head of Pharmacy department expressed joy over the donation and thanked the company for its support and previous donations to the pharmaceutical department of the hospital towards effective healthcare delivery and prayed God to sustain the company for more humanitarian services.
Other management staff of the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital also witnessed the event.
