Offong Umoh Offong
The over ten million naira project was in response to a need to upgrade the existing facility in the laboratory department.
The equipment has the capacity to check the viral load of HIV patients as well as the suppression level of the virus on a patient. 
The facility which will serve the whole of south-south geopolitical zone can diagnose HIV in the early stages of between six weeks and 18 months.
It was donated by FHI (FHI-360) in partnership with United States Agency for International Development.
