A valedictory session has been held for the outgoing Acting Chief Medical Director of University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Dr. Isaac Udo by the board of management.
In his brief remarks, Dr. Udo appreciated the board for the cooperation that led to the success during his tenure and said he had since resumed at his duty post.
Earlier on, the Board had embarked on facility tour to various project sites in the hospital.
At one of the sites, the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Ememabasi Bassey explained some issues to the Board Chairman, Senator Salihu Hussain Egye.
Some of the sites inspected were the new Surgical Complex, Accident and Emergency Department, where a Board member admired a locally-made bed, as well as on-going building and electricity projects, etc.
THE Board members also had a session with Union leaders at where various staff welfare issues were tackled.
