A new Chief Medical Director has assumed duty at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital.
He is An Associate Professor and Consultant Gynecologist of note, Dr. Emem Abasi Bassey.
Dr. Bassey is to serve for initial four-year term as the Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital.
Dr. Emem Abasi Bassey has had a distinguished career in Medical practice over the years and later became Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee of University of Uyo Teaching Hospital.
He was also a one-time Commissioner for Health in Akwa Ibom State.
The new Chief Executive Officer of University of Uyo Teaching Hospital hails from Esit-Eket in Akwa Ibom State.
He is married with children.
