The Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh, Scotland – United Kingdom, RCPE, has elected the Chief Medical Director of the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, UUTH, Prof. Etete Peters as a fellow.
The notification for the award which came through an Email, indicated that the erudite scholar has put in qualitative years of Practice in the area of internal medicine, thus his nomination for the award.
Professor Peters attended the Regina Coeli College Essene, Ikot Abasi for his Secondary Education and the University of Calabar where he graduated with MBBCH degree in 1986. He did his Postgraduate training at the West African College of Physicians and obtained his fellowship in 1997. He obtained a certificate in pulmonology from Tel Avid University in 2007
He is a member of various professional bodies and associations and has authored and co-authored over 50 publications in Local and international scientific journals.
He was awarded fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians in 2010. He is married to Mrs. Grace Etete Peters and the marriage is blessed with children.
